Coronavirus Update

If you have symptoms associated with the coronavirus including a new continuous cough or a high temperature, you are advised to stay at home for 7 days if you are well.  Please do not attend the practice.

If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.

Only call 111 direct if you cannot go online, or are advised to do so by the online service.

To avoid putting yourself, and other patients at risk all appointment requests will now be triaged by a doctor first.

The Practice

The Claypath Medical Practice has served the city centre population since 1900. The University Health Service began in 1965, originally to cover the student body but later expanded to include staff and their families. In 1999 Claypath Medical Centre and the University Health Centre merged to become one practice. The list size currently stands at circa 30,000 patients, approximately half of which are University students.
