Specialist care you can contact directly

You may not need to see a GP. Many problems are managed more quickly and conveniently by other NHS services, including contraception, eye problems, sexual health, therapy, travel vaccines — and especially your local pharmacy.

Pharmacists can treat a wide range of conditions for free, often the same day (including weekends). They can also issue prescriptions (including antibiotics for some conditions), which are free if you don’t usually pay for prescriptions.

When you need the GP Practice team

If your concern isn’t suited to the services above, our doctors and nurses can help. Send us a request and we’ll respond with advice, a prescription, a call, or an appointment.

Urgent - "Cannot wait until the next working day" - Requests:

  • In the morning, please consider submitting your requests online - if you can - even for urgent matters. A GP will typically review any request within 2 hours in the morning to decide what help is needed.
  • In the afternoon, please telephone us - if you can - so we can ensure your request is flagged to the emergency doctor.

Routine requests:

  • You can submit a request online through our Patient Triage platform or our reception team can complete the form for you over the phone.
  • This service is available for routine queries Monday to Friday.
  • Your request will be reviewed by our clinical team, and we will respond that day with the most appropriate next step.  This may be advice, a prescription, a phone call, or a face to face appointment.
